How do you make your brand and products stand out from the crowd when you are invited to a retailer training session? Often, you have a limited amount of minutes to present your product training. Here’s how Salomon really made them count, using MevoApp.
Bite-sized product training
Salomon attended a sports retailer’s product launch and training tour, as one brand in a pool of many. All the brands’ representatives all have great products to show off at these events. The amount of information shared is huge. The fight for the salespeople’s attention is fierce.
That’s why Salomon decided to add to their training by including a short quiz in the MevoApp. This added to their time in the spotlight and made sure key info got across.
– We needed a platform to reach and engage the salespeople. We wanted to make sure they really understood the training we presented on stage, says Martine Berger Skjetne, shopper marketing specialist at Salomon.
After listening to the Salomon presentation, the salespeople were welcomed to their stand. Here, they could scan a QR code to enter the MevoApp and answer one simple quiz based on what they just heard.
They also left their shoe size, in case they should be the lucky winner of a prize.
Effective and fun learning
Repeating the message and incentivizing with the possibility of winning something help increase knowledge retention.
The quiz was just 6 multiple-choice questions long. The questions included key info about technical product details as well as information about Salomon’s unique focus on sustainability.
Over 200 people completed the quiz over the course of the training tour.
Salomon is also using MevoApp for more extensive product training and sales contests. In this case, they really showed how simple it is to add new uses to the app. We love it!
